Lake Bled is a lake in the Julian Alps located in Slovenia and it adjoins with the town of Bled. The place is one of the popular tourist attraction center. The surrounded mountains and lakes adds beauty to Lake and provides its visitors a picturesque environment. The Bled Island is the only natural island in which is surrounded by the lake. Assumption of Mary Church is one of the major pilgrimage center located in the Island. The church has a long tower and stairway with 99 steps. The church is frequently visited and weddings are held there regularly. Traditionally it is considered good luck for the groom to carry his bride up the 99 steps on the day of their wedding before ringing the bell and making a wish inside the church.
