Ik Kil is a well known cenote in Mexico. A Cenote is a natural pit, or sinkhole formulated from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath. Ik Kil is opened to the public for swimming. The cenote is about 60 metres in length and around 40 metres deep. There are vines which reach from the opening all the way down to the water.
