Coromandel Peninsula located in New Zealand is part of the Waikato Region and Thames-Coromandel District that forms a natural barrier. The peninsula features steep and hilly, covered with temperate rain forest. The area shows signs of previous volcanism and geothermal activity is present on the Peninsula, with hot springs in several places specially at Hot Water Beach. The place is known for its hardrock gold mining and kauri industries. Now Coromandel Peninsula is a famous Ecotourist Centre.
