Castle of the Moors is a hilltop medieval castle located in Portuguese. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is also classified as a National Monument. The castle was constructed during the 8th to 9th century. The castle is taken by Christian forces from the Moors after the fall of Lisbon. The Moors were the medieval Muslim inhabitants of Morocco. The castle is situated on the top of the Sintra Mountains with in the limit of Sintra-Cascais Nature Park.
